Attorney Profile

As a partner with New York law firm Moses & Singer LLP, Rebecca A. Provder focuses her practice on matrimonial and family law. She has experience in all areas of family law, including divorce, custody, child and spousal support, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, equitable distribution and issues regarding same-sex couples. Ms. Provder accepts clients in the New York City area.

Ms. Provder is committed to providing outstanding client service. She has extensive experience helping clients reach favorable resolutions outside the courtroom through mediation. She realizes this approach is often less stressful for divorcing couples who are going through a difficult time and strives to disrupt children's lives as little as possible. She is also prepared to fight for clients' rights in court when necessary. Ms. Provder's clients have come to appreciate her as not merely a lawyer, but as someone who takes the time to understand their concerns and gets to know them as individuals in order to best serve their needs.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from Emory University, Ms. Provder went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. While in law school, she was active in moot court competitions and was a member of the school's law review. She gained experience as a judicial intern for the Honorable Sherry Klein Heitler. Ms. Provder is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey.

Ms. Provder enjoys staying active in the legal community outside of her practice. She has written on prenuptial agreements for the New York Law Journal, and is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Matrimonial and Family Law Committee of the New York Women's Bar Association.
