    After receiving his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from NYU, Mr. Gurfein earned his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School. He is admitted to practice law in New York and Massachusetts as well as the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the District of Massachusetts and the Second and Third Circuit U.S. Courts of Appeal and the United States Supreme Court. Prior to beginning his law career, Mr. Gurfein was an electrical engineer and taught high school math — experiences that have helped him effectively present cases to juries and judges. He continues to teach by lecturing on various topics at continuing legal education programs.

    Mr. Gurfein's achievements have earned him the recognition and respect of his peers. Along with being listed in "Who's Who in American Law," "Who's Who in the World" and other publications from Marquis Who's Who LLC, Mr. Gurfein frequently appears on television and radio programs to speak about high-profile cases he has handled.
