Sharon Stein was an Editor of the Law Review at Rutgers Law School, from which she graduated in 1980.  For the past 25 years, she has specialized in matrimonial law and has received the coveted AV rating by Martindale Hubbell–signifying preeminent legal ability and the highest ethical standards.  She was selected as one of the New York areas Top Rated Lawyers by ALM, publishers of Legal Media, and was also selected as one of the Women Leaders in the Law by the National Law Journal and featured in the March 23, 2014 issue of The New York Times Magazine as part of Super Lawyers Top Women Attorneys in the New York Metro Area.

Ms. Stein has lectured to the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar, Family Law Section on various family law topics.  Articles about her cutting edge cases have appeared on the front page of the New York Law Journal, for which she co-authored an article addressing children with special needs during divorce negotiations.  She has been appointed by the Court as an attorney for the child and as a court examiner in difficult custody litigation cases.  In recognition of her litigation skills, she was invited to judge a moot court competition at Yale University.
