Joseph Bavaro joined Salenger, Sack, Kimmel & Bavaro in 1997, was named partner in 2007 and in 2010 became a name partner of the firm. As a successful litigator, Mr. Bavaro has brought numerous personal injury cases to successful verdicts while earning the respect of his peers and the judiciary. Two high-ranking judges, The Honorable A. Gail Prudenti and the Honorable C. Randall Hinrichs, respectively, selected Mr. Bavaro for the Independent Judicial Election Qualification Commission and a select task force charged with making the county’s Supreme Court more efficient. Mr. Bavaro is a past Chairman of the Nassau Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association, a 60-year old association representing nearly 400 Long Island litigators and the immediate past president of the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers. He began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in Richmond County, NY where he acted as lead prosecutor in the Sex Crimes Special Victims Unit. A graduate of the State University at Albany and Quinnipiac School of Law, Joseph Bavaro is admitted to the Bar in New York and the United States Federal Courts.
