Jonathan D. Warner

Jonathan D. Warner is a tenacious bankruptcy law attorney serving the residents of Albany, New York. He co-founded Warner and Warner PLLC to assist individuals who are trapped in debt and unable to pay their bills. He strives to educate them about their legal options and provide real financial relief. 

Mr. Warner is aware of the many factors that lead to unmanageable personal debt – job loss, medical expenses or a recent divorce. He tries to cost-effectively wipe out his clients’ debts while making the bankruptcy process as trouble-free and as easy for them as possible. He adeptly assists with matters involving Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy, foreclosure defense, consumer rights, loan modifications, creditor harassment, tax issues and Social Security Disability.

Majoring in sociology, Mr. Warner earned his Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from the University at Albany, SUNY, in 2007. He pursued his legal education with a concentration in taxation at the Michigan State University College of Law. He received his Juris Doctor in 2011 and his license to practice law in New York in 2013.

As a law student, Mr. Warner was a part of the Jessup International Moot Court team, led two student organizations and worked as a research assistant at MSU College of Law’s Alvin L. Storrs Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic. He functioned as a judicial clerk for Honorable Robert E. Littlefield Jr. at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of New York and at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York for Honorable Judge Lawrence E. Kahn.

Active in community and bar activities, Mr. Warner is an active member of the New York State Bar Association – Solo & Small Firm Practice Committee Advisory Board, the Capital Region Bankruptcy Bar Association and the Albany County Bar Association. He also offers compassionate, free legal aid to those in need, and as a result, he was given the Kurt Clobridge Memorial Award for his Pro Bono Service by The Legal Project.

For his top-notch professionalism and client services, Mr. Warner was listed in the Top 40 Lawyers Under 40 by the American Society of Legal Advocates and recognized by Who's Who in American Law. In addition to being rated “Superb” through Avvo, he was also awarded the Avvo Clients' Choice award and Top Contributor award.
