Martin P. Bonventre, Esq. established the Bonventre Law Firm, PLLC in Albany, New York, with a vision to offer clients a more personal and committed approach to legal representation.  He strives to provide aggressive and affordable legal representation, with the personal attention necessary to make them comfortable and confident.  He understands that a criminal accusation can cause considerable stress and disruption in many areas of a person’s life.  He puts the rights and interests of his clients first by providing each case the attention it deserves and exhausting all possibilities to get the most favorable resolution.

Born in Buffalo and brought up in Capital District, New York, Mr. Bonventre earned his bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York College at Geneseo in 2006.  He then earned a doctorate in law from Albany Law School in 2010 and received his license to practice law in New York. While in law school, he was a member of the Albany Law Review, the Rugby Football Club, and the Student Hurricane Network.  His efforts to organize and assist during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina helped the Student Hurricane Network earn the 2007 NYSBA President's Law School Group Pro Bono Service Award.

Mr. Bonventre worked as a criminal defense attorney for over a decade, working with two esteemed law firms.  He has handled matters ranging from drug and weapon possession, to larceny, to violent crimes, and has handled countless DWI matters.  He also has experience serving as a professor for paralegals at Mildred Elley, a private college in Albany, and teaching Continuing Legal Education for other attorneys.

With over a decade of legal experience, Mr. Bonventre’s practice has grown to include personal injury law. He assists his clients to obtain justice and their rightful compensation after being injured in automobile accidents, truck accidents, construction accidents, dog bites, nursing home abuse, and slip/trip and falls. His success is attributed to his highly personalized attention and aggressive advocacy.

Mr. Bonventre also works to provide legal services to underprivileged groups in New York.  When not at his desk, Mr. Bonventre enjoys spending time with his family and dogs, traveling, and playing guitar.
