Robert A. Becher

A former assistant district attorney, Robert A. Becher is an attorney with Robert Becher Law who handles matters of personal injury, construction accidents, car accidents, motorcycle accidents, slip-and-fall accidents, medical and dental malpractice, railroad accidents, premises liability and dog bites. As the part-time assistant judge for Menands village, he represents clients in the Albany, New York, metropolitan area.

In 1971, Mr. Becher graduated from St. Lawrence University with a Bachelor of Arts. He then attended the University of Toronto, where he obtained a Master of Arts. After graduation, he decided he wanted to become an attorney and earned his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 1976, where he graduated with a Cum Laude designation. For one year after becoming an attorney, he worked in the Third Department Appellate Division as a research assistant before obtaining a job with the district attorney.

Admitted to practice in the state of New York since 1976, Mr. Becher has spent most of his life and career helping the average individual who was injured by the wrongdoing or negligence of another. His career experience also includes a murder conviction in upstate New York in a cold case that was appointed to him as a special district attorney.

Throughout his career, Mr. Becher has obtained millions of dollars for his clients. Some of his largest judgments include a $1.3 million settlement for an employee injured in a motor vehicle accident, a $700,000 settlement for an injured construction worker and a $600,000 settlement for a woman who was injured at a bar when a mug was thrown at her face.
