Vel Belushin

Vel Belushin is an attorney and the founding partner of Belushin Law Firm, P.C., in Brooklyn, New York. Serving Brooklyn clients as well as those throughout the New York metropolitan area, Mr. Belushin’s devotes his practice to personal injury law. He has represented individuals injured due to motor vehicle, construction, mass transit, trucking and other types of accidents, and has also handled cases involving medical malpractice, municipal claims and workers’ compensation.

Mr. Belushin speaks both English and Russian which allows him to communicate with a diverse group of clients. Throughout his career, he has negotiated and litigated many personal injury cases that have resulted in six figure settlements or verdicts for his clients. He has been admitted to practice law in New York since 2002.

Mr. Belushin enjoys staying active in the legal community. He belongs to several professional organizations including the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the Pan European Organisation of Personal Injury Lawyers, the American Bar Association and the American Association for Justice.

Mr. Belushin holds a bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University and earned his law degree from Brooklyn Law School. Following law school, he founded his practice with the goal of representing injured individuals against insurance companies. He stays up-to-date professionally by regularly participating in conferences and workshops and also shares his knowledge by authoring online articles related to personal injury topics.

Outside of his law practice, Mr. Belushin participates in pro bono activities. These efforts have earned him the respect and recognition of his peers in the legal profession.
