Details

Jeffrey F. Voelkl formed Voelkl Law PC in January 2021 after being in private practice at other firms since 1993. Located in Williamsville, New York, he provides a variety of legal services for clients throughout the greater Buffalo metropolitan area and other parts of the region. Mr. Voelkl has been admitted to practice in New York since 1993, and he is also admitted to practice in the U.S. Virgin Islands as well as before several federal trial courts, including the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York and the U.S. Tax Court.

A significant portion of Mr. Voelkl’s practice involves estate planning and administration. He assists these clients with the preparation and review of such documents as wills, living and irrevocable trusts, financial and health care powers of attorney, and advance medical directives, making sure that each estate plan component reflects his clients’ objectives and circumstances. Mr. Voelkl also works with elderly clients and their family members on matters such as Medicaid planning and long-term care alternatives, and he guides heirs and executors through what can be a lengthy and confusing probate process.

Mr. Voelkl has extensive experience in several other legal practice areas as well. He has successfully defended many people who had been charged by the state or federal government with having committed misdemeanor or felony offenses, and he has represented entrepreneurs who are contemplated launching a new venture. For those clients, Mr. Voelkl provides advice on the most appropriate form of legal entity that the business should operate under, and once it has been formed, he prepares applicable contracts and represents them in court should disputes arise. He has also handled real estate sales and purchases along with other transactions.
