In 1985, Mr. Elmore graduated from Syracuse University College of Law with his Juris Doctor. He is now a member of the Bar Association of Erie County and Western New York Trial Lawyers Association. The governor appointed him as chairperson of the 4th Department of the Judicial Screening Committee and to serve on the New York Judicial Screening Committee.
Actively involved in his community, Mr. Elmore formerly served as a member on the New York State Commission on Indigent Defense. He is a lifetime member of the NAACP, has served for 7 years as a trustee of Erie Community College and is a former member of the United States District Court Western District of New York’s Magistrate Selection Committee. Mr. Elmore volunteers his time as a certified USA boxing coach, referee and judge.Â
