Timothy J. Hennessy

Timothy J. Hennessy is a criminal defense and family law attorney in Buffalo, New York. Mr. Hennessy is the founder of Timothy J. Hennessy, PLLC, and serves clients in Buffalo, Kenmore, Tonawanda, Amherst, Williamsville, Lockport, Pendleton, Lancaster, Depew, Orchard Park, East Aurora, Eden, Elma, West Seneca, Niagara Falls, Lewiston, Grand Island and throughout Erie and Niagara counties.

As a family law attorney, Mr. Hennessy has experience with cases involving divorce, custody, visitation, and domestic violence and neglect. His criminal experience includes defending New York residents against charges, including DWI/DUI, drug charges, theft and traffic violations.

Born and raised in the Buffalo area, Mr. Hennessy earned his bachelor’s degree and went on to graduate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, now known as Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. While pursuing his law degree, he participated in the law school’s Intra-School Moot Court Competition. 

Upon completion of law school, Mr. Hennessy returned to upstate New York, passed the New York bar examination and became qualified to appear before all New York state courts. He founded Timothy J. Hennessy, PLLC, in 2009, with the goal of providing high-quality legal representation and services. 

With over a decade of legal experience, Mr. Hennessy has the knowledge and skills to provide exceptional legal services to clients. He understands that his clients are facing some of the hardest times in their lives and that each situation is different. He provides committed and personal representation with the goal of obtaining the best possible outcome for each client’s unique situation.
