Zachary Ahlstrom

Zach Ahlstrom is a Buffalo-based U.S. immigration attorney who has dedicated his entire legal career to helping individuals, families, and corporations navigate the path to living and working in the United States. As a Senior Associate at Berardi Immigration Law, a nationally recognized immigration firm with offices in Buffalo, New York City, Newport Beach, Toronto, and London, Zach represents clients across a comprehensive range of business immigration matters.

His practice covers the full spectrum of temporary work visas, including H-1B specialty occupation visas, O-1 visas for individuals of extraordinary ability, L-1 intracompany transferee visas, TN visas for USMCA professionals, and E-1 treaty trader and E-2 treaty investor visas. Zach also guides clients through the employment-based green card process, with deep experience in EB-1, EB-2 (including National Interest Waiver petitions), and EB-3 categories, as well as marriage-based green cards and naturalization applications.

Zach joined Berardi Immigration Law as a law clerk in March 2017 during his second year at the University at Buffalo School of Law, where he served as a Writing Fellow to the Dean and staffed the Federal Pro Se Civil Litigation Help Desk at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York. He earned his Juris Doctor in 2018 and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, summa cum laude, from Mercyhurst University in 2014. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2019 and named a Super Lawyers Rising Star, recognizing him among the top up-and-coming attorneys in his field.
