Eleni Kakos

Functioning as a founding partner at Weltz Kakos Gerbi Wolinetz Volynsky LLP, attorney Eleni Kakos focuses her practice broadly on civil litigation matters with special attention to business and finance. With her firm offices spread across Rockville Centre, Mineola, Boca Raton, Beverly Hills and New York, in New York, she extends her practice statewide and caters to the legal requirements of her clients in matters related to financing, mergers and acquisitions, leasing, real estate transactions, trusts and wills and estate planning, along with personal and commercial bankruptcy. 

Practicing law for the past three years, Ms. Kakos obtained her doctorate in jurisprudence from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2016. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and government from Fordham University. Soon after graduation, she joined an international commercial real estate services firm and served for about two years, garnering hands-on experiences working closely with estate occupiers and owners. The insights and practical skills gained during this tenure have significantly contributed to making her a skilled professional at handling this field of law and any other litigation process in general.

Ms. Kakos has experience representing clients on cases pertaining to business and other civil litigation and helping them with handling probate, will contest, estate administration and surrogate court proceedings.

Apart from representing her clients in complex cases, Ms. Kakos puts her business and finance acumen to good use by advising her clients on the establishment and administration of private foundations and charitable organizations. She has navigated many organizations through the proper channels to form a public charity, explaining each detail devoid of legalese.
