Neil Cahn

A graduate of Yale College and a Law Review graduate of the Hofstra University School of Law, Neil Cahn has practiced law on Long Island for more than 40 years. Mr. Cahn’s practice is concentrated in family law and alternative dispute resolution including mediation, collaborative law, and arbitration. He has been certified as a Mediator and in the Collaborative Divorce process. Mr. Cahn is an AV-rated attorney, handling divorces between spouses and domestic partners. Family law issues relate to the division of property, spousal and child support issues, custody, visitation and other parenting issues. Also included are the negotiation and drafting of prenuptial, post-nuptial and separation agreements and divorce stipulations of settlement.

Mr. Cahn is a past revision author of Matthew Bender’s New York Civil Practice, Matrimonial Actions. He has served on the Hofstra Law School Adjunct Faculty as a Teaching Assistant. He is a member of the family law committees of the American, New York State and Nassau County Bar Associations. He has written and lectured for the State University of New York, The New York State and other bar associations and professional organizations, as well as other lay groups.
