Lance Simon

Founding attorney of Simon Law Group, PLLC, Lance Simon represents clients in Queens and Long Island, New York, in matters of divorce and family law. A former member of the United States Army who has been through two divorces of his own, he is committed to providing cost-effective, high-quality legal representation to all those who are looking for respect, compassion and straightforward answers during a tumultuous time in their lives.

Along with family law, he is also experienced in business litigation and employment litigation. Mr. Simon is admitted to practice in the state of New York and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

After graduating summa cum laude with a Provost’s Award and Chancellor’s Award from Stony Brook University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Sociology with a minor in political science, Mr. Simon decided to attend law school. At Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, he earned his Juris Doctor in 2007 with a focus in Constitutional Law. He also holds a Master of Liberal Arts in American Government from Harvard University.

Mr. Simon is a member of LeGaL (LGBT Bar Association of Greater New York), the New York City Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. A passionate member of his community, he is often involved in charitable events for the LGBTQ community and for local veterans and their family members.
