Scott Stone

Mr. Stone maintains a general practice in East Rockaway, a substantial portion of which involves tax certiorari/property tax challenges and residential and commercial real estate, as well as business transactions and corporate representation, landlord/tenant, , traffic, wills and estate administration in the New York City Metropolitan Area..  He also serves as Special Counsel to the Incorporated Village of Farmingdale, the Incorporated Village of Ocean Beach, the Village of Cedarhurst, and the Glen Cove City School District for tax certiorari matters., as well as a Referee for the New York State Supreme Court. 

Mr. Stone is an active participant in the Nassau/Suffolk Law Services Volunteer Lawyers Project and was awarded the Thomas Maligno Pro Bono Attorney of the Year Award in May 2024 issued by the Nassau County Bar Association; New York State Bar Association President’s Pro Bono Service Award for the Tenth Judicial District in May 2021; the  Pro Bono Attorney of the Month in September 2014 by the Nassau County Bar Association and a Top Pro Bono Honoree for 2014-2018,  and 2021-2024.

Mr. Stone is a graduate of  Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications/Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs and Hofstra University School of Law.
