Frank Gattuso practices civil litigation at Gattuso & Ciotoli, PLLC, in Fayetteville, New York, focusing on medical malpractice, personal injury, employment law and class action matters throughout New York.
After earning his bachelor's degree in political science from the State University of New York at Albany in 1992, Mr. Gattuso pursued his legal education at St. John's University School of Law in Queens during evening hours. While attending law school, he simultaneously worked as an investigator for New York state, later transitioning to the New York City Corporation Counsel, and subsequently joining AIG Insurance Company as a litigation claims adjuster. Following his law degree completion in 1998 and admission to the New York State Bar Association in 1999, he also secured admission to all four federal district courts in New York and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit.
Beginning his legal career in New York City under the mentorship of a former law school professor, Mr. Gattuso initially represented injured individuals before transitioning to a large firm defending corporations in product liability matters. His career path eventually led him to Massachusetts, where he successfully passed additional bar examinations, gaining admission to the Massachusetts Bar Association in 2002 and the Rhode Island Bar Association in 2003. During this period, he concentrated on construction-related incidents and maritime cases under the Jones Act, handling several fatal accident cases involving maritime workers.
Returning to central New York in 2006, Mr. Gattuso joined a law firm, where he represented clients in medical negligence, workplace incidents, general injury claims and employment disputes. His notable achievements include appointment as class counsel in multiple class action lawsuits and securing over $35 million in class action settlements since 2015 for labor law violations. Since 2008, he has recovered more than $42 million in total damages for injury and employment clients.
