Jason M. Fink, the managing partner at Berger Fink LLP, based in Forest Hills, New York, has perfected a focused approach over the last two decades to provide tailored attention to business disputes. This innovative method substantially increases the probability of success while minimizing overall expenses. His areas of proficiency include real estate and commercial litigation, transactions and leases, and appellate practice.
Leveraging his programming background, Mr. Fink conducts swift and precise research early in each case. This skill enables him to thoroughly delineate disputes by identifying and analyzing the laws and exceptions pertinent to each case's unique context. His experience as in-house counsel enhances his ability to identify and examine essential details in business disputes. He adeptly merges this information to resolve disputes efficiently in the preliminary stages of litigation, saving his clients time and resources.
Mr. Fink has an extensive understanding of litigating various commercial real estate and business disputes. His current legal activities comprise handling motions and pleadings, conducting trials, overseeing depositions and engaging in settlement negotiations in both the state supreme court and civil court, as well as appellate proceedings in the appellate division and appellate term. His former role as in-house counsel endowed him with significant knowledge in compliance and transactional matters, bolstered by over 15 years of skills in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
After graduating in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree from New York University, Mr. Fink attended the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law to receive his Juris Doctor, cum laude in 1995. He was admitted to practice in New York in 1996 and is licensed in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. While at law school, he was a member of the Law Review and received several scholarships at New York University, including the Albert Gallatin, Helbein and Westlake Foundation Scholarships.
