Futterman Lanza, LLP
Futterman Lanza, LLP is an elder law and estate planning law firm dedicated to guiding individuals and families through critical planning and care decisions that shape their future. For more than 20 years, our practice has focused on elder law, estate planning, and long-term care strategies, allowing us to provide informed guidance in areas that demand both legal precision and personal understanding.
We approach every matter with the recognition that these decisions often arise during emotionally demanding moments. Our attorneys work closely with clients to develop thoughtful solutions that safeguard resources, preserve independence, and promote financial stability. From initial planning to benefit applications and dispute resolution, we emphasize clarity and confidence at every step.
Our firm structure allows us to combine individualized attention with substantial professional depth. Clients work directly with their attorney and a dedicated support team that remains involved throughout the entire process. Licensed social workers, seasoned paralegals, and attorneys with financial proficiency collaborate to address both legal and practical considerations, ensuring no detail is overlooked.
We prioritize transparency and predictability in our relationships. Most services are offered on a flat-fee basis so clients can plan without concern over hourly billing. Initial consultations are available at no cost during regular business hours, and expanded appointment options are offered for those with demanding schedules or caregiving responsibilities.
With fully staffed offices throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties, our firm remains accessible to families across Long Island and metro New York area. We also assist clients who maintain residences in Florida or have tax issues related to estate planning.
At Futterman Lanza, LLP, our work is measured by the peace of mind our clients gain. We take pride in resolving complex issues with care, integrity, and long-term vision, helping families move forward with confidence and security. We also have offices in Melville and Garden City, New York.

Social Work and Elder Care Advocacy
Our commitment goes beyond traditional legal services. Our Elder Care Advocacy department provides hands-on support to families, helping develop care plans and guiding them through healthcare complexities.
A key part of their role is preparing families for agency assessments and attending alongside them to provide steady support. Our Social Workers advocate passionately on behalf of our clients to help secure the proper Medicaid home care hours and services they are entitled to. This support extends to representing clients in both internal and external appeals with Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) plans.
From connecting with community resources to providing guidance during a crisis, we partner with providers to coordinate services that positively impact lives, ensuring a complete circle of care beyond the legal documents.
