Alexandria Awad

Ms. Awad is a litigation associate in the firm’s Buffalo office. She defends clients in general liability personal injury matters, toxic torts, nursing home and long-term care, asbestos and mesothelioma, and medical malpractice claims. She brings with her the unique perspective of having litigated such claims for seven years from the plaintiff’s side. Ms. Awad developed her litigation skills in New York City and its metro area, representing individuals in motor vehicle, premises liability, construction site injury, mesothelioma and medical malpractice actions. She commanded a heavy caseload and engaged in extensive discovery, dispositive and trial motion practice. She has also successfully authored and argued before New York State’s Second and Third Appellate Departments.

Ms. Awad earned her Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. During law school, she served as a law clerk with the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the United States Coast Guard, and to the Honorable Paula Feroleto, Administrative Judge of New York State’s Eighth Judicial District.

She gained statewide recognition as a contributing author to the New York State Trial Lawyers Association’s annual “Decisions” continuing legal education seminar. She authored the “Discovery Chapter” for several years, offering her analysis of every discovery-related decision issued each year by New York’s four Appellate Divisions and its Court of Appeals. Attorneys and law firms statewide use her Discovery Chapter as a tool for their own motion practice.

Ms. Awad has been named as a New York Metro Super Lawyers Rising Star since 2018.
