Andrea Berkowitz

Andrea Berkowitz maintains a strong reputation as a compassionate and hardworking attorney for her clients, helping them get through their tumultuous family law matters with grace and poise while simultaneously providing support and the confidence that their cases will be handled professionally and diligently.

From Berkman Bottger Newman & Schein, LLP, in Garden City, Ms. Berkowitz is well-equipped to handle myriad family law issues, including divorce, child custody and support, alimony, equitable distribution, pre- and postnuptial agreements, spousal support, relocation and paternity, as well as mediation and collaborative law. She serves the residents of the surrounding region as well as throughout Nassau County and the New York metropolitan area.

Ms. Berkowitz completed her undergraduate studies in 1999, graduating with her Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism and political science. She later went on to attend the Hofstra University Maurice A. Deane School of Law, where she honed her formidable legal talents to help her clients today. She received her Juris Doctor in 2003, and a year later, she obtained her license to practice law in New York state.

With over two decades of practice in the legal field, Ms. Berkowitz is keenly aware of the harsh realities that family law issues can present to her clients, which is why she strives to take on all their legal burdens so they can focus on themselves during this difficult time. She has received the praise of her peers for continually pushing the boundaries of positive client service within the legal industry through her practice, and she maintains consistency in her eminent advocacy in every case she takes on.

Within her legal community, Ms. Berkowitz is a part of the Matrimonial Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association and the Family Law Section of the New York State Bar Association.
