Joshua L. Rieger

Joshua L. Rieger is a partner at the law firm Berkman Bottger Newman & Schein, LLP, located in Garden City, New York. As a lawyer, he focuses solely on family and matrimonial law. From straightforward, uncontested divorces to intensely disputed, complex custody and financial matters, he handles all facets of matrimonial litigation. Additionally, he is a mediator.

With a bachelor’s degree in history, Mr. Rieger graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton. He pursued his legal studies at the Hofstra University Maurice A. Driscoll in updating the New York State Practice Series Commercial Litigation New York State Courts. He is authorized to practice law in New York.

Actively affiliated with the legal community, Mr. Rieger is currently a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association and its Family Law Committee, the New York State Bar Association’s Family Law, Matrimonial Law, and Young Lawyer’s Sections, the Nassau County Bar Association Matrimonial Inns of Court, and the Nassau County Democratic Committee.

Mr. Rieger is deeply interested in pro bono work and has donated his legal and fundraising expertise to the Long Island Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the Safe Center LI, which helps domestic violence victims.
