A prominent figure within his legal community, Michael C. Mr. Barrows completed his undergraduate studies in 2000, graduating with his Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy, politics and law from Binghamton University. He went on to attend Brooklyn Law School, and during his time there, he bolstered his legal foundation and strengthened his shrewd legal acumen through his active involvement in on-campus activities. He received his Juris Doctor in 2003, and in the very next year, he obtained his license to practice law in New York.
Soon after becoming licensed to practice across all New York state courts, Mr. Barrows gained admission to practice before the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Southern and Western Districts of New York, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit. For his many contributions, he has been AV Preeminent* peer-review rated through Martindale-Hubbell and holds a “Superb” rating on Avvo, along with numerous positive client testimonials on the latter site as well.

- Herman v. Spitz , 2004 WL 2852659 (Civil Court, N.Y. County 2004). Reported in New York Law Journal, "Decision of Interest", on October 29, 2004. Court held that medical evidence is not essential to finding plaintiff liable for defendant's emotional distress, but relevant only to the extent of her damages. Plaintiff's motion to dismiss the defendant's counterclaim was denied.

- Troccoli v. Zarabi, 57 A.D.3d 931 (2nd Dept., 2008) – Mr. Barrows wins a reversal of trial court’s dismissal of an action against seller for his fraudulent inducement of plaintiff to enter into contract for the purchase of real estate., 2008
- Ghilduta v. The Trump Corporation et al., (SDNY) – Mr. Barrows defeats defendants’ motion for summary judgment in a “hybrid claim” action brought pursuant to § 301 of the Labor Management Relations Act, alleging employer’s breach of a collective bargaining agreement and a union’s breach of its duty of fair representation.
- Zahradnikova v. Buhl, 2017 NY Slip Op 31585(U) (NY Sup Ct., NY Cty. 2017) - Mr. Barrows succeeds in pleading case for oral partnership agreement between non married couples. Only the third case reported in New York State on this topic., 2017
- Katt v. Markov, 121 A.D.3d 542 (1st Dept. 2014) – Mr. Barrows successfully defended appeal by plaintiff. Appellate Division held that agreement for the purchase of plaintiff’s goods by defendant terminated the fiduciary relationship between the parties. Moreover, Appellate Division upheld release of fiduciary by sophisticated principal where evidence established that principal understood that the fiduciary was acting in his own interest and knowingly entered into release., 2014
- Merchants T & F, Inc v. Drucker, 19 A.D.3d 134 (1st Dept. 2005) – Mr. Barrows successfully argued for a dismissal of a fraudulent conveyance action against his client because of the plaintiff’s willful and contumacious refusal to comply with multiple orders of disclosure. - Matter of Leah F. v. Efraim F., 2017 NY Slip Op 50933(U) (NY Family Ct., Kings Cty. 2017) - After an 8-day trial, Mr. Barrows succeeds in proving a family offense against one of New York City's wealthiest real estate developers. Order of Protection obtained in favor of our firm's client. , 2017
