Sheldon W. Boyce, Jr.

Boasting a rich and diverse legal background that spans nearly four decades, attorney Sheldon W. Boyce, Jr., has a unique perspective in personal injury, municipal law and Second Amendment law matters. A partner at Brenna Boyce PLLC in Rochester since 2007, Mr. Boyce has represented thousands of clients across upstate New York at both the state and federal level.

A lifelong resident of New York state, Mr. Boyce received a Bachelor of Science cum laude in 1976 from Utica College, which was then part of Syracuse University. He then pursued his legal studies at Albany Law School, from where he graduated cum laude with his Juris Doctor in 1979. While in law school, Mr. Boyce was a member of the Justinian Honor Society and the Albany Law Review.

Mr. Boyce is licensed to practice in the state of New York, as well as before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Western Districts of New York. Prior to joining the team at Brenna Boyce PLLC he served as assistant district attorney for Monroe County and worked as a confidential law assistant to justices on the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, in Albany.

Highly regarded by his fellow attorneys, Mr. Boyce holds an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a 10.0 "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo. He pursues legal excellence even when not in the office, serving as town attorney for Mendon, New York, where he resides and Village Justice for village of Honeoye Falls. A past director of the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, Mr. Boyce has also held an executive office position with the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.
