Adam D. Glassman is the managing attorney of The Glassman Law Group, a well-renowned firm in Huntington, New York. He is a tenacious litigator who concentrates his practice on commercial, corporate and real estate transactions, as well as the disputes that arise from them. He also represents Long Island and New York City residents who have been victims of medical malpractice, personal injury or nursing home abuse.
Incredibly accessible, thorough and articulate, Mr. Glassman has a firm grasp of the law, enabling him to clearly explain legal concepts and procedures and provide invaluable counsel on tactics and strategy. A savvy negotiator who can look at the big picture, he analyzes and distills complex legal issues into practical, straightforward solutions that are invaluable in settling disputes and closing transactions. Over 25 years, he has won approximately $100 million for his clients as compensation.
Attending Brooklyn College, Mr. Glassman earned his bachelor’s degree in political science summa cum laude in 1991 with active participation in the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society. He subsequently obtained his law degree in 1994 from the Fordham University School of Law, where he was a solid contributor to the Fordham Urban Law Journal.
Mr. Glassman started his legal career as a trial attorney with Zurich Insurance Group, where he eventually became a senior trial attorney. He has successfully argued matters before the First and Second Departments of the Appellate Division to a verdict. During this period, he taught commercial contract law and corporate governance as an adjunct professor at the Zicklin School of Business at the City University of New York. He also wrote extensively for respected academic law reviews and journals, many of which have since been referenced by other scholars.
After returning to private practice to establish his own multidisciplined law firm, Mr. Glassman went back to his teaching roots by taking on roles as a course adviser at William E. Macaulay Honors College and an adjunct professor at Hunter College. At Touro University, he taught courses on real estate and commercial law. Upon completing his tenure as a New York state administrative law judge, he bought out the Law Office of Alan C. Glassman and merged its operations into The Glassman Law Group.
Mr. Glassman frequently advocates for his clients in all the New York state courts and before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. A member of the New York State Bar Association, he enjoys expanding his network through various professional organizations. He has been active in the Lynbrook community as a whole and the Temple Am Echad of Lynbrook, contributing time to a wide variety of charitable causes and community service organizations.
