Karen D. McGuire

Attorney Karen D. McGuire is the founding member of McGuire Condon, P.C., a law firm in Huntington, New York. Ms. McGuire devotes her practice to family law, representing individuals in divorce, legal separation, child support, child custody, adoption, and other family law matters. She represents clients in both Suffolk and Nassau counties on Long Island, and throughout the New York City metropolitan area.

Ms. McGuire graduated from New England Law in Boston, Massachusetts, and has been licensed to practice in the state of New York since 1986. She is also certified as a mediator by New York's Office of Court Administration.

Widely respected within her profession, Ms. McGuire has received a number of awards and recognition in the media. She has given presentations on a variety of family law topics at numerous conferences and seminars. She was appointed to the New York Matrimonial Law Commission, which submitted a report recommending changes to state law in 2006. In 2011, she was asked to sit on a task force for Suffolk County to review court policies and recommend changes. She currently serves on the New York Judicial Screening Committee, which reviews potential candidates for judicial office. She is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association and serves on the board of the Suffolk County Matrimonial Bar Association.

Ms. McGuire is a co-founder of Every Child's Dream Foundation, a Long Island nonprofit organization that provides food to underprivileged and homeless children, and connects at-risk and lower income youth with healthy, cultural and positive social opportunities.
