Domingo R. Gallardo

Domingo R. Gallardo is a seasoned trial and appellate lawyer with concentrated experience defending professionals, institutions, and insurers in complex civil litigation. As a partner at Gallardo Levin Reiter & Rogers, LLP, in Jericho, New York, he represents clients in a broad spectrum of liability matters, including insurance defense, professional and medical malpractice, nursing home and long‑term care liability, products liability, premises and labor law claims, and employment practices litigation. He also advises and defends churches and charitable organizations in liability and regulatory matters.

Mr. Gallardo has tried cases to verdict and successfully obtained favorable outcomes on appeal in multiple substantive areas of liability law, notably professional liability, nursing home litigation, products liability, premises and labor law, and employment practices disputes. His appellate work demonstrates a command of both trial advocacy and post‑trial procedural strategy, enabling him to protect client interests through all stages of litigation.

In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Gallardo provides proactive risk management and loss‑prevention counseling. He regularly conducts seminars and training for health care providers, corporate clients, as well as professional practices on minimizing exposure to general, corporate and professional liability.

An academic scholar, Mr. Gallardo earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Fordham University in 1986 and received his Juris Doctor from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 1989, where he was recognized with an award in commercial paper. Following law school, he served as an assistant district attorney in Bronx County, where he prosecuted narcotics matters before leaving the District Attorney’s Office in 1993. He also served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves.

Mr. Gallardo is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of New York, and in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is also an active member of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute and the Professional Liability Underwriting Society.
