Before venturing into the legal realm, he served his country with honor in the United States Coast Guard.
In 2008, Mr. Viscosi achieved his Juris Doctor from Western New England School of Law, paving the way for his admission to practice in New York the following year, later gaining admission to the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York in 2011. While at law school, he honed his skills through an internship with the United States Attorney’s Office in Springfield, Massachusetts, and a year-long stint with the New York State Attorney General Consumer Fraud and Protection Bureau in Albany. He also proudly contributed as a reservist at the Coast Guard District One Office of the Judge Advocate General in Boston.
Following law school, Mr. Viscosi embarked on his legal career as an assistant district attorney, prosecuting an array of criminal cases. Transitioning to defense, he harnessed the lessons from his service to fervently represent those facing criminal charges. His dedication extends to mastering the evolving science behind drug and alcohol testing, particularly in the realm of DWI defense.
A respected figure in the legal community, Mr. Viscosi actively engages with the National College of DUI Defense and the New York State Defender’s Association, achieving favorable outcomes in numerous jury trials at both felony and misdemeanor levels.
