John G. Rusk

A partner at Rusk Wadlin Heppner & Martuscello, LLP, in Kingston, New York, John G. Rusk is a personal injury lawyer with over three decades of experience. As a National Board of Trial Advocacy-certified civil trial advocacy specialist, he serves clients in matters involving catastrophic injuries, truck accidents, car crashes, slip-and-fall injuries, medical malpractice, construction accidents, traumatic brain injuries and concussions. Mr. Rusk graduated with a bachelor's degree in philosophy from St. Lawrence University in 1985. He proceeded to receive a Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School in 1988. In the same year, he was admitted to the Connecticut Bar and licensed to practice in New York and Columbia in 1989. He is also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York. Furthermore, he serves part-time as Assistant District Attorney at Ulster County District Attorney’s Office.  

Over the years, Mr. Rusk has advocated for numerous personal injury clients, acquiring suitable settlements for them. Most notably, he obtained a $3.3 million jury verdict for a woman in Wallkill who suffered traumatic brain injury after a car accident. His undying service to the field and the community, especially in providing pro bono services to victims injured during the 9/11 terror attacks, earned him recognition by Trial Lawyers Care.
