Details

Barton R. Resnicoff founded his Lake Success, New York, law firm, the Law Offices of Barton R. Resnicoff, with the goal of providing high-quality family law services to the residents of Long Island's Nassau and Suffolk counties and those living in The Bronx, Queens and Staten Island. Today, after 40 years of practicing law, Mr. Resnicoff continues to strive toward that very same goal.

Attorney Resnicoff began practicing law in 1975 after earning his Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law and his approval to practice law in New York state. In addition, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court have also approved him to practice in their courtrooms.

Mr. Resnicoff has focused his practice on matrimonial and family law for over 35 years, and, since 1996, the National Board of Trial Advocacy has recognized him as a board-certified family law specialist. Thanks to his extensive knowledge of family law, Mr. Resnicoff has had the opportunity to represent clients in a number of high-profile appeals, resulting in over 30 reported decisions.

Attorney Resnicoff's record of success has garnered him much recognition from the legal community. He holds a "Superb" Avvo rating and is peer-rated as BV Distinguished* according to Martindale-Hubbell. He is a regular guest speaker and lecturer on family law topics, and he has published legal articles regularly for over 30 years.

Because he is a highly experienced attorney, Mr. Resnicoff's opinion is in demand. He is a member of a number of legal associations, and he has served on countless committees, councils and executive boards over the course of his career. Additionally, he regularly does pro bono work in the New York City area.

*AV Preeminent and BV Distinguished are certification marks of Reed Elsevier Properties Inc., used in accordance with the Martindale-Hubbell certification procedures, standards and policies. Martindale-Hubbell is the facilitator of a peer review rating process. Ratings reflect the confidential opinions of members of the Bar and the judiciary.
