Kevin J. Mahoney

Kevin J. Mahoney is dedicated to representing plaintiffs in complex multimillion-dollar wrongful death and personal injury cases, both in the United States and internationally. He is an associate attorney at the law firm of Kreindler & Kreindler LLP, located in New York City, New York, Boston, Massachusetts, and Los Angeles, California. Mr. Mahoney works out of the New York office, and his practice areas include:

• Aviation accidents
• Maritime and boating accidents
• Auto, truck and rideshare accidents

With his extensive experience, Mr. Mahoney handles a broad range of transportation litigation cases dealing with airliners, general aviation aircrafts, military aircrafts, maritime vessels, air tour operations and tractor-trailers. He has been involved in notable cases, such as the Boeing 737 MAX litigation plea and the Airbus AS350 B2 helicopter sightseeing tour crash in Hawaii.

As an aggressive advocate, Mr. Mahoney fights for the rights of injured individuals in high-stakes litigation against well-financed corporate defendants. He has also provided pro bono representation to several clients, including employees appealing against withheld unemployment benefits and wrongly terminated farm workers.

Mr. Mahoney earned his B.A. cum laude from New York University in 2009 and completed his education at Seton Hall University School of Law, graduating in 2014 with a magna cum laude Juris Doctor degree. During law school, he received several honors, including the Distinguished Scholar Award, the Billy and Ashley Streiter Memorial Scholarship, and the Samuel J. Heyman Federal Public Service Fellowship. He was also a runner-up in the Best Brief for Respondent category in the 2013 Eugene Gressman Moot Court Competition.

Furthermore, Mr. Mahoney actively participated in the pro bono program and was a member of La Table Française. He also served as an articles editor for the Seton Hall Law Review and was a student attorney at the Seton Hall Law Juvenile Justice Clinic.

Having been admitted to the bars of New York and New Jersey, Mr. Mahoney is authorized to practice law in the U.S District Court for the District of New Jersey, as well as the U.S District Court for Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He takes great pride in his membership in the American Association for Justice, particularly its Aviation Section. Additionally, he is affiliated with the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association. His contributions and achievements extend beyond his legal practice; Mr. Mahoney is a member of the 2020 Law 360 Transportation Editorial Advisory Board.
