- Company Ignores Labor Laws, Pays $1,400,000 Settlement When a company fails to keep a job site clean, orderly, and free of debris, they put each and every one of their workers at risk. Our 32-year old client was on a job site when he woke up on the ground, unaware of what happened to him. It was later determined a ladder he was using most likely slipped due to the dirty floor, losing traction and causing our client to crash to the ground. He sought medical treatment for a number of serious injuries, including a brain injury, fractured skull, fractured spine, collapsed lung and fractured wrist. As a result of his injuries, he was forced to undergo several invasive surgeries.
