Alexandra Weaderhorn

Serving clients at Schonfeld Law Group, P.C., Lynbrook, New York, Alexandra Weaderhorn is a dedicated family law attorney. With nearly 15 years of experience in the legal profession, she handles cases involving divorce, matrimonial law, prenuptial agreements and other aspects of family law. As a certified advanced matrimonial mediator, she works with clients to navigate divorce in a cost-effective and cooperative way through mediation.

Having tried divorce and related matters in both secular courts and religious tribunals, Ms. Weaderhorn has experience with the processes in each forum. She aims to protect her client’s rights and dignity throughout the divorce process. She has represented clients in the Supreme Court of the State of New York as well as before the Beth Din of America. Alexandra's experience also includes time with the New York Center for Juvenile Justice and the NYC Administration for Children's Services and Family Court Legal Services.

After graduating from the City University of New York with a bachelor’s degree, Ms. Weaderhorn pursued her legal studies at New York Law School. While in law school, she was a part of an elder law clinic as the court evaluator in a guardianship proceeding. She also became a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and contributed to Family Law Quarterly.

Ms. Weaderhorn is an active contributor in the legal fraternity through the Nassau County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. She has written several articles on the topic of matrimonial law and constitutional considerations during the covid pandemic in the New York Law Journal. Additionally, she is a member of the Jewish Lawyers Association of Nassau County and the Nassau County Women's Bar Association.
