Jason A. Newfield

Jason A. Newfield has been a formidable presence in the legal field for over two decades, dedicating his career to advocating for individuals who have been unfairly denied long-term disability claims by large insurance companies. Working out of his office at the Newfield Law Group, based in Melville, New York, his practice focuses on representing claimants in disability insurance claims and litigation, covering ERISA, as well as private and governmental policies of short and long-term disability, long-term care, life insurance and health plans.

Throughout his career, Mr. Newfield has worked with thousands of claimants and secured hundreds of millions of dollars for his clients. He understands deeply that his clients would vastly prefer to continue their careers and support their families rather than face the debilitating effects of their conditions. His mission is to secure financial relief for his clients, providing them peace of mind and avoiding the need for lengthy and costly litigation whenever possible. When necessary, he does not shy away from aggressively litigating denied claims in Federal Courts across the country.

Mr. Newfield's contributions extend beyond the courtroom. He has been involved in numerous published decisions across both state and federal courts and has earned significant peer recognition, including an AV Preeminent* peer-review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a 10.0 rating on Avvo.

Receiving his J.D. from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 1995, Mr. Newfield was a member of the Hofstra Law Review. He completed his bachelor’s degree from the University at Albany in 1992. He is admitted to practice in New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut, along with several federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States.

Mr. Newfield represents clients across the United States and frequently serves as local counsel for firms bringing cases within his jurisdiction. His commitment to justice is deeply personal, influenced by his heritage as the son of Holocaust survivors. Additionally, he has authored numerous articles for medical journals and advocacy groups and has served on the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Advisory Committee, advising the United States Department of Health and Human Services.
