Jeffrey M. Haber is the co-founder of FriebergerHaber LLP, which maintains offices in New York, New York and Melville, Long Island. Drawing from several years of business, corporate and civil litigation experience, as well as alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation and arbitration, Mr. Haber represents clients throughout the United States.
Mr. Haber earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he graduated magna cum laude, and earned his law degree from the Hofstra University Maurice A. Deane School of Law, where he was a member and Notes and Comments Editor for one of the school's journals.
In addition to being admitted to practice in all New York state courts, Mr. Haber is also licensed to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second and Sixth Circuits. He is also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
Throughout his years in practice, both in a variety of New York City area law firms and his own, Mr. Haber has been involved in many high-profile cases and has served in various roles in both individual and class action lawsuits which have resulted in million and multimillion-dollar settlements. He has also conducted and participated in numerous securities and commercial arbitrations.
Mr. Haber has been recognized by several publications during his career. He has been recommended in The Legal 500 in various years, was named a “local litigation star” in Benchmark Plaintiff from 2013 through 2015, and published in the Securities Litigation Report (two articles) and The Wall Street Lawyer (one article). Mr. Haber is also a member of the American Bar Association's Business Committee.
