Later, he was admitted to the U.S District Court for the Eastern District of New York (1993) and the U.S Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit (2003).

He is fluent in Spanish, which he learned while working with human rights groups in El Salvador. He represents clients with trials in Immigration Court and New York State trial courts. He has extensive experience in the fields of family-based immigration, waivers, asylum, naturalization, deportation-removal defense, and post-conviction relief. He also frequently provided advice to criminal defense lawyers regarding the likely impact of a criminal conviction on their non-citizen clients legal status.
A practicing trial lawyer for more than three decades, Mr. Terezakis has been recognized by the legal community for his professionalism and high ethical standards.
