John E. Lawlor

The founding partner of his self-named New York City-based law firm, attorney John E. Lawlor, Esq., focuses primarily on securities litigation and arbitration, securities regulation and compliance, business law and business litigation. He also assists clients with FINRA investigations, state regulatory actions and SEC investigations. For the past 25 years, Mr. Lawlor has distinguished himself as an attorney dedicated to meeting his clients' needs.

In 1981, Mr. Lawlor graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a bachelor's degree. He then went on to obtain his Juris Doctor from the Catholic University of America in 1984. Following graduation, Mr. Lawlor's experience as in-house counsel for brokerage firms gave him invaluable experience in securities and business law. This experience included helping to establish regulatory guidelines and underwriting public offerings for securities. He has also held securities licenses in Series 4, Series 7, Series 24, Series 27, Series 53 and Series 63 securities.

When not practicing law, Mr. Lawlor speaks at various Continuing Legal Education programs to teach attorneys about the securities arbitration process before the Practicing Law Institute, New York County Lawyers' Association and New York State Bar Association. He has also written several chapters on securities arbitration for Continuing Legal Education. Mr. Lawlor is a member of the New York State Bar Association.

Mr. Lawlor assists clients in New York City and the surrounding areas. He is licensed to practice law in the state of New York, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
