Steven M. Warshawsky

Steven M. Warshawsky is the founding attorney of The Warshawsky Law Firm in Mount Kisco, New York. His practice focuses on employment law counseling and litigation, primarily for individuals, including hourly workers, salaried professionals, and highly compensated executives. He delivers personalized legal representation, always guided by each client’s objectives and financial considerations.

At The Warshawsky Law Firm, we help employees understand and protect their rights in the workplace. Indeed, many employees do not realize that their rights have been violated until they consult an attorney. Mr. Warshawsky handles the full range of employment issues, including wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, and wage-and-hour disputes. 

Mr. Warshawsky personally oversees every phase of litigation, from initial consultation and case analysis, to complaints, discovery, motion practice, trials, appeals, and settlement discussions. When cases demand additional resources, he calls on a network of highly qualified attorneys but remains lead counsel throughout. This hands-on model allows him to craft strategies tailored to each client’s unique needs and budget, combining accessibility with a depth of legal experience often reserved for larger firms.

Before founding his practice, Mr. Warshawsky served as an assistant United States attorney, practiced at national law firms, clerked for federal district and appellate judges, and taught legal writing as an adjunct professor at Brooklyn Law School. He has tried employment and civil rights cases to verdict in federal courts in New York and Washington, D.C., and has argued appeals before the U.S. Courts of Appeals.

Courts nationwide have cited Mr. Warshawsky's published scholarship. He is a magna cum laude graduate of Georgetown Law, where he was an editor of the Georgetown Law Journal. He also earned a B.A. cum laude in politics from Princeton University and a master’s in social studies education from Vanderbilt University.

Admitted to all federal courts in New York and Connecticut, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2d Circuit and 4th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court, Mr. Warshawsky brings over 25 years of experience, legal acumen, seasoned judgment, and passionate commitment to every matter.
