Aaron M. Ser is NYC Personal Injury lawyer and a key member of the trial team at Gair, Gair, Conason, Rubinowitz, Bloom, Hershenhorn, Steigman & Mackauf, a nationally recognized personal injury law firm based in New York City. He represents clients in serious injury cases involving medical malpractice, wrongful death, premises liability, and products liability. Mr. Ser is known for his commitment to justice and tireless advocacy on behalf of those who have been harmed by negligence.
In 2025, Mr. Ser served as second chair in a landmark $60 million medical malpractice verdict in Nassau County, believed to be the highest such verdict in the county’s history. The case involved a man who suffered permanent paralysis due to a spinal cord infarction caused by a medication error during a routine epidural steroid injection. Mr. Ser played a central role in trial preparation and presentation, helping secure a unanimous jury verdict that included compensation for medical costs, lost earnings, pain and suffering, and spousal loss of services.
A native of Miami, Florida, Mr. Ser earned his undergraduate degree from The Pennsylvania State University and his law degree from Brooklyn Law School. During law school, he completed internships across diverse legal disciplines, including foreclosure defense, commercial litigation, and work with the Police Benevolent Association of the City of New York, developing a well-rounded legal foundation.
Before joining his current firm, Mr. Ser practiced at a New York-based medical malpractice and personal injury firm, where he gained hands-on experience handling all stages of litigation—from pre-suit investigation to trial. He has successfully briefed and argued summary judgment motions and appeals, and he is also the co-author of a peer-reviewed article analyzing breast cancer medical malpractice litigation in New York, published in a respected medical journal.
Mr. Ser's professional admissions span several jurisdictions, including New York state and various U.S. District Courts. His commitment to the legal profession is further evidenced by his memberships in the New York State Bar Association, the New York City Bar Association and the Hispanic National Bar Association, which underscore his dedication to continuous learning and community service within the legal field.
