Alexis Diaz

Alexis Diaz embarked on her legal career by practicing at several prestigious personal injury law firms in New York City. With nearly a decade of experience in handling complex personal injury cases, she opened her own practice in May 2019, focusing on motor vehicle accidents, premises liability cases, civil rights violations, construction accidents and medical malpractice cases from inception to trial. She started Diaz Law Group, P.C., in New York, in 2019.

Ms. Diaz's decision to establish her own law firm stemmed from a desire to create a boutique practice where she could apply her vast knowledge and personal touch more directly to each case. Her clients value her accessibility and commitment to communication, trusting in her ability to resolve their cases successfully. Over her career, she has settled cases resulting in millions of dollars in compensation for her clients. Licensed to practice in both New York and New Jersey, including the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, Ms. Diaz is a respected member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the Bronx County Bar Association. Her educational background is equally impressive; she earned her Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law.

During her time at Fordham, Ms. Diaz was an active member of the Brendan Moore Trial Advocacy Center, serving on its board, and demonstrated her prowess in trial advocacy by winning Best Opening Statement at the 2011 Texas Young Lawyers Association National Trial Advocacy Competition. Additionally, she excelled in legal writing, received an award for her skills and contributed as a teaching assistant in the legal writing program.

Ms. Diaz also brings a rich background in legal scholarship and community service. She was a member of the Fordham International Law Journal, the Fordham Law Women and the Latin American Law Students Association. Her commitment to service was evident through her clerkship with the Honorable Faith S. Hochberg at the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and her internship at Jersey Battered Women's Service.
