A family law and divorce attorney, Amy Saltzman represents clients in the New York, New York, metropolitan area at her firm, Amy Saltzman, P.C. During her long, successful career spanning almost three decades, she has reached favorable outcomes and helped many families as they work through difficult times. Founder of the legal services branch of the Center for Safety and Change, she helped to provide social services to those who are victims of domestic violence.
Ms. Saltzman is admitted to practice in both New York and Vermont, and before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. An attorney who is passionate about her profession, she is a member of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York, the New York Women’s Bar Association, the New York City Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Westchester Women’s Bar Association, the New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and the Rockland County Women’s Bar Association.
In 1975, Ms. Saltzman graduated from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Arts in English and on the dean’s list. She then earned a Master of Arts in special education at Hunter College before attending law school at the City University of New York School of Law at Queens College, graduating in 1988 with her Juris Doctor.
She provides training through speeches and seminars for a long list of organizations. These include the New York City Bar Association, the Westchester Women’s Bar Association and the Westchester Black Bar Association.
