Admitted to practice in New York in 1976, Mr. Lo Cicero earned his law degree cum laude from Brooklyn Law School in 1975 and obtained his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering cum laude from New York University in 1972. He is allowed to appear before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit. While in law school, he was the assistant managing editor of the Brooklyn Law Review.

With more than 40 years of experience in the legal field, Mr. Lo Cicero serves a diverse clientele, including e-commerce platforms, financial institutions, health care organizations, apparel retailers and insurance companies. He helps them with several aspects of trademark and IP law such as enforcing trademark rights, mitigating counterfeiting operations, evaluating contracts and resolving patent disputes. With in-depth knowledge of the customs and terminologies used by various types of industries, he is skilled in assisting clients in monetizing their IP through license agreements or sales.

Mr. Lo Cicero has rendered his services to the public sector by actively advocating for patent reform, and by being involved in establishing the Trademark Anti-counterfeiting Act of 1984. The United States Patent and Trademark Office has certified him as a registered patent agent, and he was on the board of directors of the International AntiCounterfeiting Coalition (1993-2005). Recognized for his services to the field of IP law, he has been rated AV* Preeminent through Martindale-Hubbell and added to the list of IP stars by Euromoney. 

Staying up to date with the legal community, Mr. Lo Cicero is a member of the New York State and American Bar Associations, and he is the president of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association. As a prolific writer and speaker, he has published many articles and has spoken on many occasions on various topics related to IP law.
