With over twenty five years of experience representing clients in trials and appeals, Anthony J. Harwood has built a reputation as a leader in commercial litigation, employment law, securities litigation and professional liability.  He has won multi-million dollar judgments in the trial courts, and won appeals in both state and federal courts.  Highly regarded by his fellow professionals, he has an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Harwood is admitted to practice in New York State, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second Circuit and Federal Circuit.  He has been a member of the Professional Ethics Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and served as Chair of the Committee on Professional Ethics of the Commercial and Federal Litigation Section of the New York State Bar Association.  He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the State Bar's Commercial and Federal Litigation Section. 

He earned his law degree with honors at Fordham University School of Law, where he was on the Fordham Law Review.  After graduation, Mr. Harwood served  as a clerk for a judge in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York before becoming an associate at a New York City law firm in 1988.  He earned his bachelor's degree from Cornell University.
