Benjamin D. Moore, Esq. is widely known and highly respected within New York’s family and matrimonial law community and is considered by his peers to be among a handful of premier matrimonial and family law attorneys in the New York City area.

As the principal attorney at Moore Family Law, P.C., located in Soho, New York, Ben practices exclusively within the spheres of family and matrimonial law, representing clients in matters including divorce, custody, family offense matters and orders of protection, child support, ACS investigations for child abuse and neglect, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and post-judgment litigation.

Ben is a member of the domestic violence committees of the New York City Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association’s Family Law Section, where he has lectured on issues relating to power dynamics and coercive control. He is regularly brought on as a consultant by other attorneys in cases involving domestic violence. Ben began his career as a domestic violence prosecutor in the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office, where he helped obtain justice for hundreds of survivors of physical, verbal, and emotional abuse. Ben brings the toughness and empathy he developed as an Assistant District Attorney to his matrimonial and family law practice.  Ben understands that violence takes many forms and you never back down to the demands of a bully or narcissist.

In addition to his law practice, Ben serves as an adjunct professor at Brooklyn Law School, where he teaches trial advocacy. He has been highlighted in numerous media outlets, including the New York Times, NY1 and CNN.
