Brett Wexler

Brett Wexler provides legal services to property owners and businesses throughout New York City. A partner and co-founder of Wexler & Kaufman, PLLC, he is a member of several committees, including the young lawyers and the real property law committees of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.

Having a thorough understanding of a situation is key to finding a solution that produces a positive result. One way to do that is to represent a range of clients within the practice area. Mr. Wexler does this, providing counsel and legal knowledge to commercial tenants and landlords, investors, developers, sellers, buyers, borrowers and lenders. He handles both residential and commercial property issues such as refinancing, deeds, land disputes, property tax abatement, construction contracts, escrow and lease negotiations. Additionally, Mr. Wexler guides people through the process of setting up a trust to protect their real estate assets.

When a dispute arises between a business and another party, there are a number of paths that businesses can take. Mr. Wexler shows businesses what these paths are. He gathers the information needed to make a full assessment of the case and then sits down with businesses to explain to them what their rights are by law. A skilled arbitrator, negotiator, mediator and litigator, Mr. Wexler always keeps the client’s needs and goals in mind.

Mr. Wexler graduated with a bachelor’s degree in criminology and criminal justice from the University of Maryland, College Park. He then attended the Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center and received a Juris Doctor.
