Chaim Steinberger is the principal owner of the New York-based law firm of Chaim Steinberger, P.C. He works with a passion to transform an often-contentious process into a healing process for people across the New York metro area dealing with difficult family transitions due to:

After graduating magna cum laude with his bachelor’s degree in 1983 from Adelphi University, Mr. Steinberger received his Juris Doctor magna cum laude in 1994 from the Brooklyn Law School. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the State of New York’s Appellate Division – Second Judicial Department, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Mr. Steinberger has held various key leadership positions in organizations such as the American Bar Association’s Family Law Section, the New York State Bar Association, the Brooklyn Bar Association’s Family Law Section, and the Denis McInerney, New York County Lawyers Association, American Inn of Court. A Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent* peer review-rated attorney, he also holds an “Excellent” rating on Avvo. He constantly shares his legal knowledge through his articles and lectures.

Emphasizing giving back to the community, Mr. Steinberger devotes his time and skills to several pro bono projects, civic and community groups, and mental health associations, including but not limited to the American Bar Association’s Operation Stand-By, the Brooklyn Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project, and the Unchained at Last. He spends quality time in continuously honing his legal skills to be a better litigator, mediator, arbitrator and negotiator.
