Charles Montgomery Ferguson

Charles Montgomery Ferguson is a partner and the practice group chair at Weitz & Luxenberg. Predominantly handling cases involving mesothelioma and asbestos exposure, he helps the residents of New York with such legal issues. He is admitted to practice law before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and has almost 35 years of experience as a skilled litigator and negotiator. Acknowledging that a mesothelioma diagnosis can be overwhelming, he volunteers to shoulder his clients’ legal burdens with utmost efficiency and compassion. 

Mr. Ferguson completed his undergraduate studies at Wilkes University in 1993, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He went on to pursue his interest in the legal field at Brooklyn Law School, earning his Juris Doctor in 1987. Owing to his shrewd legal acumen and high-quality services, he was featured in The Best Lawyers in America magazine for his work in mass tort litigation and class actions in 2024, as well as being named “Lawyer of the Year” in 2019 by the same parent organization, Best Lawyers.
