Focusing his practice primarily on complex business transactions, David Baharvar Ramsey is a partner at Kaufmann Gildin & Robbins LLP. From the firm's office in midtown Manhattan, he provides astute representation to both companies and entrepreneurs throughout the greater New York City metropolitan area, and his experience also extends to franchise matters, and the negotiation and preparation of commercial contracts. Mr. Ramsey's client base encompasses a variety of industries, including telecommunications, investment funds, publishing, entertainment and franchise companies. His work on their behalf has included mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, debt and equity financing, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, entity formation, and general business advice. Mr. Ramsey has prepared and reviewed consulting contracts, licensing agreements, and contracts relating to software development. In his franchise practice, he assists with the preparation of the required disclosure documents and guides his clients through the registration process.
Mr. Ramsey is an active participant in several professional organizations, including the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association and the Hospitality Law Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. He is the co-author of numerous published works, including one on cybersecurity for franchise companies and another on restaurant financing alternatives. Active in his community as well, Mr. Ramsey has volunteered his time for New York Cares and other civic organizations. A graduate of Cornell University, where he received a Bachelor of Science with honors in 2001, Mr. Ramsey obtained his legal education at Harvard Law School and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 2005.
