Dennis Vega

Dennis Vega, a partner at Foley Mansfield in New York City, is a seasoned attorney celebrated for his skillful defense tactics in intricate legal challenges. His practice centers around product liability, environmental and toxic tort cases, maritime law and general liability litigation. He has earned a reputation for safeguarding the interests of equipment manufacturers, product creators, premises owners and municipalities.

Throughout his career, Mr. Vega has showcased his legal talents in courts across the East and West Coasts, tackling both state and federal cases. His experience includes serving as national, regional or local counsel for a diverse array of international industrial clients within the power, oil, chemical, railroad and automotive sectors. He is also adept at advising corporate clients and scientists on selecting products for laboratory testing, aimed at crafting advanced exposure models for litigation and trial scenarios.

Mr. Vega’s strategic brilliance is further underscored by his collaboration with leading scientific and medical authorities. He has taken the helm as lead counsel in major state and federal coordinated proceedings, such as the New York City Asbestos Litigation (NYCAL) and various Multidistrict Litigations (MDLs).

Before joining Foley Mansfield, Mr. Vega sharpened his litigation skills at the Bronx District Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted and tried several high-stakes capital cases. His subsequent roles included representing esteemed New York City teaching hospitals and major public hospitals, along with their associated healthcare practitioners, in prominent cases.

Academically, Mr. Vega is an alumnus of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he not only earned his J.D. but also served as the executive editor of the Cardozo Women’s Law Journal and excelled in national trial competitions. He holds a B.A. with honors in economics and accounting and information systems from Queens College. 

Admitted to practice in several esteemed courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court, Mr. Vega is also an active member of the New York State Bar Association and the Hispanic National Bar Association, reflecting his dedication to his profession and community.
