Effie (Efrat) Blassberger

Effie (Efrat) Blassberger, a partner at Clayman Rosenberg Kirshner & Linder LLP in the bustling city of New York, brings a wealth of courtroom experience, particularly in criminal defense law, including white collar crime and commercial litigation. Since joining the New York State Bar in 2013, she has also been admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Graduating cum laude from Cornell University in 2006, Ms. Blassberger went on to earn her Juris Doctor in 2011. She was an assistant district attorney in Queens County, where she prosecuted over 600 cases and led more than half a dozen to verdict. Her role as a prosecutor saw her tackle an array of cases, from violent felonies and economic crimes to domestic violence and DWI offenses.

Before her tenure in the Queens District Attorney’s Office, Ms. Blassberger served as a senior associate at the international law firm. Her work there predominantly involved white collar criminal defense, commercial litigation and both domestic and international arbitrations. She has represented clients in criminal and regulatory investigations conducted by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, the Department of Justice, the SEC, FINRA and the Prudential Regulatory Authority.

In 2022, she returned to private practice as a partner at Clayman Rosenberg Kirshner & Linder LLP.  An esteemed figure within legal circles, Ms. Blassberger actively participates in the Criminal Advocacy Committee, the White Collar Committee and the Women in the Legal Profession Committee of the New York City Bar Association, as well as the Women’s White Collar Defense Association. She also serves as a long-standing board member for Friends of the Children, a dedicated organization that breaks the cycle of generational poverty through professional mentoring. She is also a VP of NYU Law Alumni Committee and was appointed to the New York City Bar Working Group on Court of Appeals Nomination Process.  Her leadership potential has been acknowledged by Chambers as a leading white collar lawyer, Lawdragon, which has recognized her as one of the next generation of legal leaders in America, National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40, and by the New York Law Journal as a Rising Star.
